I know Your love for me's unchangeable I've seen but a glimpse of it all And with my mouth I claim to love you Yet I continually fall
How can I say I love You When I'm ignoring Your commands? See I'm veering toward the wrong path And still claim to hold your hand
How can I say love you When to love is to obey And though I know how it hurts you I decide to look away
What love is this I claim to have That I can ignore the pain I cause For momentary pleasure But at an eternal loss
Is this love that I turn away And pierce your heart every day With words and thoughts and my own way And fail to stop to even pray
Is this love for You I grieve Your soul And wonder why my heart turns cold And claim You have forsaken me While You take my sins upon that tree Oh God, forgive me...
